BAIC ArcFox Kaola
ARCFOX, a BAIC group brand, has launched the world's first SPV (Smart Parenting Vehicle). The Koala has been designed with the emphasis on the needs of mothers and children.
Koala aims to integrate the concept of affinity into every design detail of the exterior. The bowknot theme of the front and rear bumper aims to strengthen the feminine character of the vehicle. Simple lines of headlamps outline a smiling expression and aim to create a human-like sense of eye contact.
The interior of the Koala is modern and roomy, without sharp edges, but rather flowing, with soft lines throughout. Stylish interior color and natural, minimalist design aim to contribute to passenger's well-being.
The design of the vehicle has been influenced by the needs of and interactions between mothers and children ranging from pregnancy to teen age. The result is a variety of intimate travel scenarios, tailored to pregnancy, mother-infant parenting, breastfeeding and children's activities.
In order to enhance the interaction between passengers and the vehicle and in attempt to create a soothing environment for babies, a new TPO material has been used to create an intelligent translucent surface. The fascinating interplay of light, shadow and patterns creates an intriguing area of exploration for curious kids.
