Lancia Gamma
In the more than century-long history of Lancia, which this year celebrates its 120th anniversary, there is one name that immediately evokes elegance, innovation and comfort: Gamma. Today, 50 years later, that name returns to the spotlight, taking centre stage at the 2026 Paris Motor Show with the world premiere of the New Lancia Gamma, a crossover fastback featuring sleek proportions and a tapered rear end. Measuring 4.67 metres in length, 1.89 metres in width and 1.63 metres in height, it marks the brand's return to the heart of the European market, specifically the C-UV segment, the best- selling segment in Europe and the second-largest in Italy.
Conceived for the European market, built in Italy and designed to showcase industrial expertise, advanced technology and true Made in Italy excellence, the new model symbolically inherits the cultural legacy of Lancia's great flagship vehicles of the past, translating it into a contemporary language aligned with today's mobility needs and the brand's evolution. This journey began with the Pu+Ra HPE concept and continued with the New Ypsilon. In line with the roadmap that was announced and fully delivered, the New Gamma now takes the next step forward with confidence and vision, appealing to those who seek to express their personality through automotive design and who value modern interiors as much as onboard comfort.
Alongside these sophisticated enthusiasts of both automobiles and Made in Italy craftsmanship, who have always known and appreciated the Italian brand, a new generation of Lancisti is emerging. They seek an extraordinary driving experience, both in their personal and professional lives, while valuing quality, efficiency and comfort even on long journeys. For all of them, private customers and fleet operators alike, the new model will be a travelling companion with a distinctive identity, starting with its name, a clear tribute to the iconic Gamma of the 1970s, one of the most versatile and distinctive flagships in Lancia's history. The name also reinforces Lancia's tradition of naming its vehicles after letters of the classical Greek alphabet, creating a continuous thread linking the brand's glorious origins to its most recent chapter, one fully focused on the future of mobility.
Built on Stellantis' STLA Medium multi-energy platform, the New Lancia Gamma is the result of a unique formula composed of six carefully balanced ingredients, a recipe that could only come from a brand with more than a century of elegance, sportiness and cutting- edge technology. The first ingredient is its attractive crossover fastback body style, a configuration unique within the segment and a reflection of a brand looking towards a sustainable future. Its flowing and emotional silhouette is both highly functional and remarkably efficient. Efficiency itself is the second ingredient. Thanks to a drag coefficient of just 0.25, the best in its class, the New Gamma delivers some of the lowest energy consumption figures in the segment, proving once again that for Lancia, elegance is always backed by substance. The third ingredient is interior space, expressed through a spacious cabin inspired by the Italian Home Feeling philosophy, designed to welcome occupants generously while offering rear passengers best-in-class comfort.
The next two ingredients focus on the everyday ownership experience, shaped by the style and taste for which Italy is renowned worldwide. Living with the New Gamma means elevating everyday routines through a rewarding experience, starting from the entry-level trim, which already includes the best standard features in the segment. Moving up through the range, customers discover even more innovation, sophistication and the most advanced technologies available in its category. Finally, the sixth and last ingredient is the return of the HF Integrale after a thirty-year absence: the halo version that brings the pure essence of Lancia sportiness back to the road, combining performance and composure with the refinement that has always distinguished the Italian marque. It immediately recalls the glory days of the 1970s and 1980s, when extraordinary road cars and unbeatable competition machines carried the Lancia name to every corner of the world, making it, to this day, the most successful brand in the history of the World Rally Championship.
Behind each of these ingredients lie record-setting figures, beginning with aerodynamic excellence which, combined with an exceptionally low rolling resistance of just 4.7 kg/t, redefines the benchmarks of the category. The fully electric version offers over 740 kilometres of driving range, while the hybrid emits just 120 g/km of CO 2 . Cabin spaciousness is equally impressive, with a class-leading 560-litre luggage compartment and 25% more rear-seat legroom for second-row passengers. All this is complemented by an unrivalled standard equipment package featuring dual 10-inch and 16-inch displays, Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities, the SALA PRO system, Relax, Energize and Entertainment modes, and natural voice recognition powered by the SALA HUB. As for the Gamma HF Integrale, its performance figures are remarkable: 350 hp, rising to 375 hp when the battery is charged above 90%, all-wheel drive, 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds without rollout, adaptive suspension as standard and up to 676 kilometers of range. These achievements highlight the substance of a project validated through 720,000 kilometres of testing and a strong sustainability vision: more than 60% of the materials used in the interior are of sustainable origin, accounting for more than 600 kilograms of green materials on board.
Futuristic in vision, Lancia by tradition
The Lancia Gamma is a vehicle that celebrates the culture of design, blending aesthetic intelligence with engineering excellence. The Lancia Design Centre in Turin created the new model by drawing on the brand's distinctive styling cues, adopting a progressive approach that preserves the Lancia spirit without resorting to nostalgia. Inspiration from some of the most iconic examples of 20th-century Italian architecture coexists with the integration of innovative functions. Every exterior surface expresses balance and proportion, while the purity of its volumes conveys a rational and functional aesthetic. The front end, defined by essential geometries, communicates strength and sophistication, while at the rear, clean, continuous surfaces are interrupted by technical details that enhance aerodynamic flow and create visual dynamism. The interior design is inspired by domestic living spaces, taking its cues from high-quality, minimalist Italian furniture. At the same time, it references the tradition of Italian industrial design through its technical elements, while authentic materials and tactile textures evoke the world of contemporary furnishings and design, pursuing comfort and functionality in a distinctly Italian way.
In particular, the exterior styling of the new flagship evolves the design language first introduced with the New Ypsilon and the Pu+Ra HPE concept. A clean architectural cabin structure merges with more sculptural side surfaces, while technological elements are concentrated at the front and rear. The result is a futuristic and innovative vehicle where elegance and sportiness coexist in perfect harmony. The front end is built around three distinctive elements: the iconic Lancia Calice created through light, the hexagonal air intake inspired by the brand's heritage, and a powerful road presence. At the rear, the unmistakable T-shaped light signature is combined with a bold, dynamic architecture enhanced by sophisticated aerodynamic solutions. Viewed from the side, the fluid and sculpted bodywork meets a clean, contemporary architecture inspired by the 1976 Gamma. The design is further enhanced by large alloy wheels: electric versions are available with 19-inch Aero inserts, 20-inch wheels, and exclusive 21-inch forged wheels on the HF Integrale, while hybrid models offer 18-inch and 19-inch wheels, plus a dedicated 19-inch wheel design for the HF Line.
In the design of the New Gamma, form never exists for its own sake. Every surface has been shaped to maximize aerodynamic efficiency without compromising the elegance of the silhouette. The result is a drag coefficient of just 0.25, the best in its class, delivering lower energy consumption, greater driving range and superior acoustic comfort, even at motorway speeds. This achievement is the result of a systematic development process carried out through advanced fluid-dynamics simulations, with designers and engineers working side by side. Evidence of this can be found in the aerodynamically optimized wheel designs, the split rear spoiler and the active front grille, which opens only when cooling requirements demand it, prioritising aerodynamic cleanliness whenever conditions allow.
At 4,672 mm in length, the New Lancia Gamma confidently positions itself at the heart of the C-UV segment, yet it is its proportions that best define its character. Its generous 2,791 mm wheelbase is combined with short overhangs, just 969 mm at the front and 913 mm at the rear, creating both a dynamic road presence and genuine flagship-level spaciousness. Visual solidity is enhanced by the vehicle's width of 1,898 mm, extending to 2,099 mm including the mirrors, and by wide tracks measuring 1,630 mm at the front and 1,642 mm at the rear. Meanwhile, the height of 1,635 mm excluding antenna preserves the sleek profile typical of a fastback design. Ground clearance of 217 mm, together with approach and departure angles of 15.4° and 20.5°, completes its crossover stance, providing versatility and confidence even beyond paved roads.
Lancia Veneziane and Floating Aerodynamic Fins
The tapered rear end of the New Gamma showcases two unmistakably Lancia styling cues: the iconic Veneziane and floating aerodynamic fins, embodying both the brand's sporting heritage and its vision for the future. Positioned above the rear spoiler, the Veneziane reinterpret in a contemporary way the sunshade structure of the 1975 Lancia Beta HPE through a series of vertical screen-printed lines on the glass. That solution itself recalled the louvred rear window of the legendary Stratos. First previewed by the Pu+Ra HPE concept, this design feature highlights the sporting character of the new model while celebrating the golden age of Lancia innovation. The floating aerodynamic fins, also inspired by motorsport, stand proudly above the roofline and create a split spoiler that optimizes airflow, transforming racing inspiration into pure efficiency.
Featuring a full-LED lighting system throughout, illumination is the first element that makes the New Gamma instantly recognizable, day or night, reinforcing the brand's family feeling. At the front, the ever-illuminated Calice of Light serves as the iconic signature of the Lancia front end. Standard Full LED headlights are paired with the Adaptive Front System, which adjusts the beam pattern across six driving scenarios, from urban environments and motorways to poor-visibility conditions. At the pinnacle of lighting technology are the Pixel LED headlights, standard on LX, HF Line and HF Integrale versions, representing the state of the art in the C-segment.
At the rear, the full LED lighting solution echoes the Calice signature while integrating all safety lighting functions. Exclusive welcome and farewell light animations have also been developed for the New Lancia Gamma, activating sequentially at both the front and rear when approaching or leaving the vehicle.
Color Palette, Customization and Finishes
Lancia has always placed great importance on body colors, seeing color not merely as an aesthetic choice but as an integral part of a product philosophy built around elegance, character and extensive personalization. The New Gamma continues this tradition with a colour palette inspired by minerals and the brand's design heritage, offering six metallic finishes:
On LX and HF versions, a panoramic glass roof is available with black finishes, creating a striking contrast that sculpts the roofline and highlights the body-coloured aerodynamic fins. Five two-tone combinations are also available, pairing the black roof with Quarzo White, Granito Grey, Ametista Grey, Agata Green and Lancia Blue.
In terms of finishes, Gamma and LX versions share a gloss-black lower grille and protective elements, a blue Lancia badge and a body-coloured roof. The HF family distinguishes itself through a black Lancia badge, an HF side-skirt badge, privacy glass and rear Veneziane.
The Architecture of a Contemporary Italian Living Room
The interior design of the New Lancia Gamma draws inspiration from Lancia's great tradition, long associated with contemporary design and the extensive use of premium, innovative materials, recreating a distinctly Italian domestic atmosphere. Pure, bold, and essentially linear forms interact with iconic elements to create a new code of elegance based on three principles: clean architectural construction, a technological aesthetic, and design inspired by the world of luxury furniture.
The result is a cabin organized into three distinct zones: the upper technological area, the wrap-around band, and the functional central tunnel. These spaces house the elements that make the environment unmistakably Lancia, from the dual-display setup and the "Lancia Glow" ambient lighting to the intuitive SALA Hub beside the steering wheel and the dashboard enhanced by the refined and iconic "coffee table."
Each trim level interprets this design and elegance language with its own distinctive character. The LS version is defined by the white dashboard band and matte platinum accents, creating a sophisticated aesthetic. Features include a Quarzo White fascia with a "Bitonale" grain finish on the dashboard and door panels, a matte platinum insert with the Lancia logo, and black center and door armrests. The side dashboard combines air vents and direct LED ambient lighting, evoking the warm and welcoming atmosphere of an Italian home. This version fully showcases the SALA Hub, a virtual assistant that provides visual feedback to various vehicle inputs, responding to interactions related to sound, air, lighting, and augmentation, creating an intuitive and immersive experience.
In the LX version, the iconic Lancia Blue takes center stage, paired with matte platinum accents. The fascia features embossing inspired by Italian leather craftsmanship, while the armrests are finished in Lancia Blue. Finally, the Gamma HF adopts the distinctive HF Green theme with matte platinum accents. It is further enhanced by a sports steering wheel, a "coffee table" with HF graphics, the SALA Studio Hi-Fi system, aluminum sport pedals, and matte platinum aluminum speaker grilles featuring SALA Studio Hi-Fi graphics.
More than 600 kilograms of sustainability are integrated into the New Gamma, where over 60% of the visible interior surfaces are made from eco-friendly materials. These include recycled jersey fabric used for the headliner, pillars, and parcel shelf; glass-effect polycarbonate derived from bio-based raw materials; a sustainably produced TPO upper dashboard; and recycled carpets and floor mats. In addition, all fabrics contain more than 50% recycled material, reaching 100% in the upholstery of the Integrale version. This model also introduces biotechnology-derived polyurethane for the dashboard and door panels, along with bio-content polyurethane for the armrest. These innovative solutions reduce reliance on animal-derived raw materials without compromising perceived quality or the aesthetic appeal of traditional materials, preserving their appearance, finish, and tactile comfort.
A true manifesto of the Lancia philosophy, the "coffee table" is the direct heir to a concept first introduced with the Pu+Ra HPE concept car and debuted on the New Ypsilon. It strongly reflects the Italian Home Feeling concept that has always distinguished Lancia creations. In the New Gamma, this automotive innovation reaches its most mature expression. Standard across the entire range, it naturally accommodates smartphones and tablets on its Alcantara surface, which on LX and HF versions also incorporates a 15W ventilated wireless charger. Its domestic character becomes particularly evident during moments of rest, when it transforms into a genuine support surface for working, reading, or waiting while the vehicle recharges. Paying tribute to the brand's origins, the integrated pen holder is engraved with the inscription "Torino 1906," while the HF version features dedicated HF graphics. The iconic "coffee table" is therefore more than an accessory: it is a furnishing element that turns the cabin into a living space where functionality, comfort, and attention to detail blend naturally.
The seating takes inspiration from the seats of the Gamma Coupé, featuring horizontal elements and embodying genuine handcrafted armchairs. They reinterpret automotive comfort through the lens of Italian furniture design, combining refined materials, tailored workmanship, and solutions dedicated to on-board well-being. The standard Glow-tech Ossidiana Black seats on LS reinterpret Lancia's iconic cloth upholstery through a technical lens, combining recycled black fabric with techno leather. The LX version offers Glow-tech Lancia Blue seats as standard, featuring eight-way electric lumbar adjustment for the driver.
The HF version adopts Bio-Tech Green HF seats in recycled green fabric, fully electric and heated for both driver and passenger. At the top of the range, available on LX and HF, black Capitonné leather seats bring sophisticated craftsmanship into the cabin. Perforated seat surfaces further highlight their bespoke quality. The leather undergoes an innovative and sustainable zeolite tanning process using mineral-based agents, combining quality, refinement, and environmental responsibility. Electric adjustment with pneumatic lumbar support and driver memory, adjustable side bolsters, ventilation, massage functions, and heated rear seats complete a benchmark level of comfort.
With a luggage compartment offering 560 litres, the best in its category, the New Gamma combines generous capacity with everyday practicality. The load area is illuminated by two LED lights and organized with four tie-down hooks and a side storage compartment with netting for smaller items. Flexibility is ensured by the 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat and a usable width ranging from 926 mm to 1,008 mm. Beneath the load floor, the underfloor compartment is available in five specific configurations. On front-wheel-drive versions, it can accommodate charging cables, Hi-Fi system components, or a spare wheel, while all-wheel-drive models feature a dedicated configuration. This rational design approach transforms record-breaking capacity into genuine everyday usability. A factory-installed spare wheel can also be fitted beneath the load floor.
At the centre of the driving experience are two three-spoke steering wheel designs upholstered in techno leather, featuring a Carbon Black rim on LS and LX versions and perforated leather on the HF. The controls require touch recognition followed by physical confirmation, enabling safe operation without taking attention away from the road.
The same intuitive philosophy applies to the touch-panel controls located beneath the central air vents. The Quick Launch button automatically adapts climate settings with a single touch by reading outside temperature conditions, delivering maximum heating with heated seats and steering wheel below 4°C, or enhanced cooling with ventilated seats above 35°C. The dual-zone climate control system extends to the second row, which benefits from its own dedicated control panel.
Passenger comfort is further enhanced by the panoramic glass roof, providing the largest possible glazed surface area and maximum headroom for rear passengers. Dedicated treatments ensure comfort throughout every season.
Finally, 30 litres of onboard storage space and a refrigerated compartment beneath the central armrest provide the finishing touch to an environment designed to make every journey feel as comfortable as home.
SALA: simple technology and well-being on board
Lancia's Effortless Technology was created to be simple, intuitive and authentically human-centered, making every on-board experience natural and immediate. At the heart of this philosophy is S.A.L.A. - Sound Air Light Augmentation - the intelligent virtual interface that integrates audio, climate control and lighting into a single ecosystem, easily managed from the touchscreen or by voice. Compared to the interface introduced on the New Ypsilon, today on the New Gamma the S.A.L.A. system evolves even further to take a new step forward in comfort, simplicity and engagement.
The central display, instrument cluster and Extended Head-Up Display
The large 16" central screen is divided into three areas: the driver's area, the shared area and the passenger-dedicated area. The right-hand area hosts information widgets - clock, energy flow on electric versions, air quality - or passenger-oriented widgets, such as radio and media or seat massage: seven in total, depending on equipment, with the first position reserved for the SALA widget. In front of the driver, the 10.25" digital instrument cluster offers five configurations, from full-screen navigation to the essential display, with the speedometer alongside the tachometer on the hybrid version or the Power/Eco/Charge indicator on electric versions. In addition, the Extended Head-Up Display projects a virtual display of approximately 21", with four configurations dedicated to driving, navigation and ADAS.
On the LS version, the standard equipment combines the instrument cluster with the SALA central screen, which brings together entertainment - dual AM-FM tuner, DAB digital tuner, Bluetooth, USB and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto mirroring, including Siri and Google assistants which are not enabled to control vehicle functions - and vehicle management itself: from information and settings to climate controls, from ADAS control to EV pages on electric versions, up to multiple profiles to personalize the experience of each driver. Standard on LX and HF Integrale and available on request on LS, the SALA PRO system further adds connected 3D TomTom navigation, Relax, Energize and Entertainment scenarios and natural voice recognition entrusted to the SALA HUB.
SALA HUB is the ChatGPT-based voice assistant with light feedback perfectly integrated into the ambient lighting and is conceived as an intelligent conversational interface. In fact, the interface understands natural language and responds immediately and contextually. It is activated by saying "Hey SALA" or with a short press of the microphone button on the steering wheel, and a spontaneous request - "I'd like to listen to some music" - is enough to obtain what is needed and its scope covers the entire spectrum of the on-board experience: whether it is answering a call, lowering the temperature, changing the lighting atmosphere or scheduling charging on the electric version, the response arrives immediately and without ever taking your hands off the steering wheel.
Sound: when the cabin becomes a listening room
As in every respectable Italian living room, in the New Gamma sound also has its place of importance. This is already demonstrated by the standard system on LS and LX versions, with six speakers for 100 Watts and tweeters housed in the door handles. The highest expression, however, comes with SALA Studio Hi-Fi, standard on the HF Integrale and optional on the LX, created specifically for Lancia in collaboration with the high-fidelity audio specialist FOCAL. It is a sophisticated 3D sound system that, thanks to the integration of 14 speakers throughout the cabin and a 690 W amplifier, ensures an immersive and engaging experience, like a true recording studio. Furthermore, the speaker grilles blend with the aluminium trim of the doors. To achieve adequate sound permeability and the necessary precision in reproducing realistic sounds on aluminium. The system is completed by two speakers at roof level, which help reproduce high-fidelity, immersive and three-dimensional sound on board the new model.
In the traffic of a congested city, the cabin of the New Gamma remains an oasis of clean air. The high-efficiency filter retains up to 92% of particulate matter and 98% of mould and bacteria, working in synergy with the Clean Cabin system, which constantly monitors internal and external pollution through PM 2.5 and AQS sensors and consequently manages air intake and recirculation. The air is thus renewed in just a few minutes, with quality level and filter status always visible on the central screen.
Standard across the entire range, Lancia Glow ambient lighting transforms the cabin into a room at home: a room experience made of ambient light integrated into the dashboard design and direct lights on the side vents, available in eight colours - Blue, Rust, White, Amber, Platinum, Sage Green, Peacock and Indigo - selectable from the main screen together with brightness. The variable-colour light points guide the eye from the SALA HUB to the "coffee table" spotlight, up to the door handles and door pockets.
From the passenger area of the central screen, SALA offers three modes that orchestrate sound, air, light and seat functions together. The first, called Relax, relieves tension with five tracks inspired by cocooning atmospheres, with a gentle airflow that warms up to 22°C, a soft blue light and - where available - the Wave massage. With Energize mode, on the other hand, the senses are awakened with five tracks created exclusively by the Lancia sound designer, all accompanied by a cool 18°C airflow towards the driver's head, seat ventilation and a red light that illuminates the cabin. Finally, Entertainment mode transforms stops into enjoyable moments with video games available on the SALA system and the AppMarket
The New Gamma is built on the STLA Medium multi-energy platform, designed around an innovative battery architecture, optimized in width and length to maximize usable energy between the wheels. Two batteries are available, serving the Standard Range and Long Range versions, with a usable capacity of up to 97.2 kWh even in the presence of large-diameter wheels (740 mm). Furthermore, the platform can integrate the 145 HP hybrid engine, for an ideal balance of efficiency and performance. The chassis is new in every fundamental component - front and rear axles, braking system - and efficiency is pursued in every detail, as demonstrated by the braking system with eBooster for energy recovery, the aerodynamic flat underbody, the heat pump and the reduction of friction on bearings, braking system and reducer.
Gamma Hybrid with 145 HP and over 1,000 km of range
The hybrid version of the New Lancia Gamma develops an output of 145 HP and a torque of 230 Nm, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds, a top speed of 201 km/h and a total range of 1,040 kilometres. But efficiency is the figure that defines it best: despite being among the most generous proposals in the category in terms of dimensions and habitability, it ranks at the top of the segment in terms of fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions, respectively 5.3 l/100 km and 120 g/km. An extraordinary result that comes from a 48-Volt hybrid architecture refined in every element. In detail, the internal combustion engine adopts the Miller combustion cycle and a variable geometry turbocharger, solutions that favour efficiency without penalising responsiveness, while the transmission is entrusted to the six-speed eDCT dual-clutch gearbox, which integrates within it a 21 kW and 55 Nm electric motor, powered by the dedicated battery. Everything is governed by intelligent energy management, which allows more than half of urban journeys to be travelled in electric mode. At low speeds and over short distances, the e-Drive function moves the vehicle in 100% electric mode, with zero local emissions; during stronger accelerations, e-Boost makes the additional torque of the electric motor available for a quicker response; during deceleration and braking, e-Regen recovers kinetic energy to recharge the battery. Alongside these functions are a series of utilities designed for everyday use, accompanying the driver from the first to the last metre: e-Start starts the vehicle in electric mode, e-Creeping governs very low-speed movement, e-Queueing allows it to move forward silently in traffic and e- Parking provides precise and noiseless manoeuvres. Finally, the Driving Mode Selector on the central console shapes the character of the vehicle, with three modes clearly indicated on the instrument cluster. Those seeking maximum efficiency choose Eco mode, which softens accelerator response and reduces climate control consumption; those who prefer the ideal compromise between performance and consumption remain in Normal mode, with all settings in standard configuration; those who want to enjoy driving dynamics switch to Spor mode, which brings the accelerator and steering to Dynamic calibration and makes gearshift thresholds more responsive.
Gamma Electric up to 245 HP and approximately 740 km of range
With 741 kilometres travelled in the WLTP cycle by the Long Range version, the New Lancia Gamma electric sets the benchmark in the C-UV segment for range, because no direct competitor reaches so far. The HF Integrale follows with 676 km, the Standard Range with 543, and these are figures that also hold up outside laboratory tests: on the motorway at 120 km/h with climate control active, real-world range is respectively 491, 458 and 375 km. A record that comes from systematic work on efficiency, beginning with aluminium doors, bonnet and fenders to benefit weight; continuing with 19" wheels with the best rolling resistance in the category; and culminating in a high-efficiency heat pump worth up to 15% lower consumption, or approximately 80 additional kilometres. It is the same intelligent energy management that, below freezing temperatures, reduces cabin heating requirements by up to 40% and that, even before departure, brings the cabin and battery to the ideal temperature through pre-conditioning that can also be programmed remotely via smartphone. Driving style also contributes to the result, because the powertrain works in both directions, as a motor and as a generator. Regenerative braking is activated by lifting the foot from the accelerator and is adjusted via the steering wheel paddles through three levels, from the lightest calibration - which reproduces the sensations of an internal combustion vehicle - to the most intense, with maximum energy recovery. At the top is One Pedal mode, which allows acceleration and deceleration with the accelerator alone and, in calmer conditions, brings the vehicle to a complete stop without ever touching the brake pedal. On long journeys, Long Distance EV Routing definitively eliminates range anxiety, because when the route exceeds available range it automatically inserts charging stops, indicates where to stop and calculates the arrival time including breaks, adapting itself to traffic and occupied charging stations while always prioritising the most powerful stations. And before every stop it pre-heats the battery while driving, so as to arrive in the ideal condition to recharge at maximum speed, to the point that on a fast charger only 27 minutes are required to go from 20 to 80% on Long Range and HF Integrale (31 for Standard Range) and only 6 minutes to recover 100 km of range. At home, the 11 kW Wallbox completes the same recharge overnight, a time that drops to 2 hours and 35 minutes with the more powerful 22 kW on-board charger on the Standard Range, while the Smart Battery function protects battery performance and lifespan by automatically managing the 80% charging limit and can be suspended with a touch before a long trip. Finally, the V2L function is also available, transforming the vehicle into a source of energy capable of powering external devices up to 230 Volts, a valuable convenience for camping, leisure activities and emergencies. As for the front-wheel-drive versions, the Standard Range develops 230 HP and 340 Nm with a 73.7 kWh net battery, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds and reaches 190 km/h, while the Long Range rises to 245 HP with the 97.2 kWh battery. Both accept direct-current charging up to 160 kW and also offer the Eco, Normal and Sport modes already described for the hybrid version.
HF and Integrale, between history and future
The roots of the HF designation date back to 1951, when Scuderia Lancia was founded and Gianni Lancia chose and designed the running elephant as the emblem of the brand, a symbol of luck and victory. In 1960 the Lancia Hi.Fi. Club opened, reserved for the most loyal customers - admission required ownership of at least five Lancia vehicles - and motorsport was not yet involved. The two paths crossed in 1963, when from a section of the club the young Cesare Fiorio, destined to become the architect of the brand's rally successes, relaunched the Scuderia as Squadra Corse Lancia HF, retaining the running elephants as a tribute to the sporting tradition of the company. From that moment onward, the designation accompanied half a century of legends, from the Fulvia HF to the Stratos HF, until becoming, in 1983 with the Delta HF, the global synonym for high-performance Lancia vehicles. Four years later came the Integrale denomination that would forever change the sporting history of the brand. In 1987 the Delta HF Integrale made its debut, bringing all-wheel drive from rally stages to the road and transforming a competition "beast" into a myth, capable of conquering six consecutive World Constructors' Championship titles and making Lancia the most successful brand ever in rallying. Thirty years later, the New Gamma HF Integrale reunites these two iconic names and brings them into the present. A few figures are enough to measure its ambition: 375 HP and 509 Nm delivered by two electric motors, one for each axle, for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 5.1 seconds excluding rollout and a top speed of 190 km/h, without sacrificing a record range of up to 676 km, guaranteed by the 97.2 kWh net battery structurally installed in the underbody, greatly benefiting the centre of gravity.
Dual Motor: power where and when it is needed
Behind the extraordinary performance of the New Gamma HF Integrale lies a Dual Motor architecture that assigns its own electric drive module to each axle, with the Vehicle Control Unit orchestrating them in real time. It is here that Integrale technology is reborn in a contemporary form, because torque is distributed variably between the front and rear axles, seeking moment by moment the axle with the best grip. The slightest hint of wheel slip activates the 4WD system in a few milliseconds, with the promptness that makes the difference on difficult surfaces. In everyday driving, however, the vehicle relies on the front axle alone, reducing consumption and maximising range. Completing the picture is an intensive development programme that includes a dedicated chassis setup and the Boost mode available with the battery at 90%, capable of unleashing an additional 25 HP when the vehicle's full character is required. The result is a flagship that combines agility and top-level performance with power that is as generous as it is accessible, without compromises on comfort.
Adaptive suspension and 21-inch forged wheels
Maximum comfort is provided by an HF Integrale exclusive: active suspension with variable damping, which reads the road before travelling over it. A high-resolution camera on the windscreen scans the road surface up to 25 metres ahead, analysing bumps and irregularities in real time, while four sensors on the body and three accelerometers monitor vehicle dynamics. All data is processed in a few milliseconds by a control unit that regulates each wheel independently, proactively adapting shock absorber settings to improve comfort and stability. The sophistication of the chassis is also enhanced by the forged 21-inch wheels, equipment that remains the preserve of only a very limited number of pure sports cars. Thanks to the extremely high forging pressures, they are lighter and stronger than traditional cast wheels - 6 kg less than the 20" set, despite being wider and taller - with tangible benefits in acceleration, driving precision, comfort and range.
Superior performance requires more sophisticated calibration, so the driving modes increase to five. Eco prioritises efficiency, with all-wheel drive available only in kick-down; Normal offers everyday balance; Sport brings accelerator, suspension and steering into dynamic settings, with all-wheel drive always active; Comfort softens the suspension while taking maximum advantage of the camera's predictive reading; finally, 4WD mode permanently engages all-wheel drive with a fixed 50:50 torque split, for maximum traction on every surface.
The New Lancia Gamma makes use of an advanced technological architecture consisting of 12 sensors, 7 cameras and 4 radars, enabling more than 30 safety features and ensuring a high level of assistance during driving and parking manoeuvres.
In particular, the new Lancia model is equipped with Level 2 autonomous driving, resulting from the combination of Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function and Lane Positioning Assist. The system manages both longitudinal control, namely speed and distance from the vehicle ahead, with deceleration down to a complete stop and automatic restart within three seconds of stopping, and lateral control, by reading road markings and keeping the vehicle centred in its lane through active steering.
It performs at its best on motorways, with clearly visible road markings, and requires the driver to remain responsible at all times and keep their hands on the steering wheel. Otherwise, the system first issues a warning and then deactivates itself.
In addition, three new functions make their debut with Level 2 autonomous driving compared with the New Ypsilon.
Semi-automated Lane Change enables lane changes on request between 70 and 180 km/h. When the turn indicator is activated, the system checks whether the adjacent lane is clear and performs the manoeuvre, now without requiring any further driver confirmation, or informs the driver that the manoeuvre cannot be carried out through orange lane markings and an acoustic signal.
Predictive ACC additionally adjusts vehicle speed according to the road profile and speed limits through maps and camera data, ensuring smoother progress.
Finally, Anticipated Intelligent Speed Adaptation detects upcoming road signs, displays them on both the instrument cluster and head-up display, and proposes them as the new reference speed. If the new limit is lower, the vehicle automatically slows down; if it is higher, the vehicle accelerates only after driver confirmation. In the event of rain, the system recommends a reduced speed.
Level 2 autonomous driving comes as standard on the HF Integrale and is available as an option on Gamma and LX versions, while the three new functions are reserved for HF Integrale and LX.
A comprehensive active and passive safety package comes as standard across the entire range.
The Active Emergency Braking System intervenes in the presence of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, while Lane Keep Assist and Driver Attention Systems help prevent unintentional lane departures, distraction and driver fatigue.
In urban environments, the twelve ultrasonic sensors and rear-view camera can be complemented by 360° Vision and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
At night, Night Vision detects pedestrians and animals at distances of up to 300 metres, displaying warnings on the instrument cluster according to the level of risk.
In the event of a collision, six airbags, seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters, Isofix and Top Tether anchor points, and electric rear door and window locking systems provide protection.
The equipment is completed by Intelligent Speed Assistant, Wrong Pedal Prevention, In-Crash Braking, Hill Assist and electronic braking, traction and stability control systems.
This is Lancia's interpretation of safety in a flagship vehicle: 360-degree protection, always present yet never intrusive.
The New Lancia Gamma is fully connected through two packages, Connect ONE, included for ten years, and Connect PLUS, included for the first year, together with the Lancia App.
Connect ONE brings together essential safety and assistance services, including eCall/bCall, Customer Care, OTA updates, Vehicle Health Report and, on the electric version, remote charging management and cabin pre-conditioning.
Building on this already rich offering, Connect PLUS adds connected navigation and remote- control functions.
Specifically, Connected Navigation integrates real-time traffic, weather and speed camera information, point-of-interest searches, charging and refuelling station searches, and automatic map updates.
On the electric version, EV Routing with TomTom recalculates routes based on battery charge and energy consumption, while the new E-Routes app plans charging stops according to real-time charger availability.
In addition, the Lancia App enables remote control of door locking, lights and horn functions. On electric versions, Remote e-Command allows charging scheduling, while remote pre- conditioning brings the cabin to 21°C while preserving driving range.
The package is completed by natural voice recognition and the Lancia App itself, which integrates the owner's manual, subscription services and charging station locator.
The New Lancia Gamma adopts a simple and straightforward product offering, available with three powertrains and three trim levels capable of meeting every mobility need and personal style.
First of all, the powertrain range starts with the front-wheel-drive hybrid delivering 145 hp and 230 Nm, with a driving range of more than 1,000 kilometres. It continues with the front- wheel-drive Long Range electric version producing 245 hp and 340 Nm, with a range exceeding 740 kilometres (the Standard Range version develops 230 hp and offers a driving range of more than 540 km). The range culminates with the all-wheel-drive Integrale electric version delivering 375 hp and 509 Nm, with a range of up to 676 kilometres.
Likewise, the trim levels reflect three distinct personalities, embodying three different interpretations of Lancia elegance: essential in LS, sophisticated in LX and decidedly sporty in HF.
In detail, conceived as the entry point to the range, the LS version is anything but "basic". On the outside, it stands out through 18-inch wheels (hybrid) or 19-inch Aero wheels (electric), the Full LED light signature featuring the front Chalice and rear T-shaped light bar, glossy black protective elements and flush door handles.
Inside, it welcomes occupants with the "coffee table", Quarzo White interior environment and Glow-tech Ossidiana Black seats.
The standard equipment is remarkably rich, including 360° parking sensors with rear-view camera, a 10-inch instrument cluster, a 16-inch display, SALA Pro with navigation and SALA HUB wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, Adaptive Cruise Control and proximity keyless entry hands-free electric tailgate, together with charging capabilities of up to 160 kW in DC current for the electric version.
Positioned as the benchmark of the range, the LX version aims to set the segment standard, with equipment levels comparable to competitors' upper trims.
It can be recognized by its 19-inch diamond-cut wheels (hybrid) or 20-inch wheels (electric), as well as by the Lancia Blue environment with dedicated Glow-tech seats. Alternatively, customers may choose Quarzo White interiors or black capitonné leather.
The equipment package is enhanced by Adaptive Pixel LED headlights, wireless charging, heat pump and 11 kW onboard charger on electric versions.
It also offers the widest scope for personalization, ranging from the SALA Studio Pack and Suite Pack to the panoramic roof.
At the top of the range sits the HF trim, available as HF Line on the hybrid version and HF Integrale on the electric version.
Externally, it is distinguished by 19-inch or 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, the HF logo, dark Lancia badges and privacy glass with external Venetian-style treatment.
Inside, highlights include the Bio-tech Green HF environment with Racing Green seats, the HF "coffee table", sports pedals and a dedicated sports steering wheel.
The equipment package adds the SALA Studio Hi-Fi system, heated electric seats with memory function, extended dual-zone climate control with Clean Cabin and, on the electric version, Level 2 autonomous driving, heated steering wheel and adaptive suspension, while forged 21-inch wheels are available among the exclusive options.
The offering is completed by a series of packs designed for every trim level.
On the LS version, customers may optionally add Business Drive pack enhances the Gamma LS with L2 Autonomous Drive, Long Range Blind Spot Monitoring, 360° camea. Rear cross traffic alert and Alarm.
On the LX version, the SALA Studio Pack adds the SALA Studio Hi-Fi audio system, laminated windows with Venetian-style treatment and extended dual-zone climate control with Clean Cabin.
The Drive Pack, also available on HF Line, combines Level 2 autonomous driving, Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control with Semi-automatic Lane Change, a 360° camera and a heated steering wheel.
On the HF Integrale, already comprehensively equipped as standard, the Drive Pack 2 adds a 360° camera and alarm system.
For LX and HF versions, the Vision Pack combines Night Vision, heated windscreen, electrochromic exterior mirrors projecting the Lancia logo and a Head-Up Display.
Particular emphasis is placed on the Suite Pack, which transforms the front seats into a genuine wellness suite.
The absolute novelty is represented by the adjustable seat bolsters, consisting of two pneumatic pockets integrated into the seatback side supports. These adapt lateral support to the occupant's build or to the desired driving character through touchscreen controls and a quick-access button positioned on the side of the seat.
In addition, they provide an eight-chamber pneumatic massage function with five programmes and three intensity levels, independently adjustable by driver and passenger.
Thermal comfort accompanies every season.
During colder months, heated seats and steering wheel are available, the latter activatable through Quick Launch below 4°C, together with a new-generation heated windscreen featuring virtually invisible tungsten filaments capable of quickly clearing the entire surface of ice and condensation.
During warmer seasons, ventilated seats channel air through the micro-perforations of the upholstery.
For the New Lancia Gamma, a range of 44 Mopar-branded accessories has been developed, organised into six families: exterior, interior, charging, electric, transport, safety and care.
The purpose is to personalise the vehicle and adapt it to every lifestyle and travel requirement.
For exterior customisation, twelve solutions range from protection to styling elements, such as the transparent protective film for the bumper.
For the cabin, seventeen genuine accessories are available, including floor mats, available in 3D, tailored or premium velvet versions, and conversion kits for professional-use vehicles.
