It became part of General Motors in 1918, where it now serves as the group's high-volume, mainstream marque, positioned below the premium Buick and GMC and the luxury Cadillac. It builds a wide range of vehicles from small cars to trucks; its best-known models include the Corvette sports car (from 1953) and the Camaro. The brand is active and sold worldwide.
