The design team is encouraged to break through the restriction on existing vehicle categorization, and create a new proportion best suit for target users' experience scenarios. At the first glance it is easy to think that ARCFOX αS HI 2024 is a saloon. However, it soon becomes clear the model is in the crossover realm. With a drag coefficient of 0.248, it certainly cuts a slippery profile. The silhouette redefines the connection from roof to tail, not fastback but sporty with sedan feeling considered.
αS HI 2024 was shown for the first time at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show. As a high-end smart car deployed by BAIC Group in the field of pure electric cars, it is the first mass-produced car equipped with HI Huawei's full-stack smart car solution. Bending the category distinctions, it combines the saloon aesthetics which Chinese people associate with a premium car together with the space provided by a crossover. αS HI 2024 benefits from a steel upper-frame and aluminum lower-frame body structure for better safety. With a length of 4,980mm, width of 1,960mm, height of 1599mm and wheelbase of 2915mm, it has been designed to ensure spaciousness and functionality.
The car features an X shape given by lines on the spoiler and bonnet, which symbolizes 'infinite extension and exploration ofthe future'. Extreme temperatures have inspired the color choices, which include starry night black, forest brown, glacier blue and ice grey.
αS HI 2024 is quite different from the base version which emphasizes a sporty feeling. Instead it focuses more on the premium feeling of high tech. Since the definition of a premium car has changed, customer perception and expectations on new technology will prevail instead of exterior dimensions, luxury materials or advanced functions. Externally the most visual difference is the incorporation of the 3 LIDAR sensors into the front bumper. In addition, there are 13 cameras and 6 millimeter wave radars to support self-driving.

The ADS intelligent driving system has formed a set of ultra-high fusion perception system through 34 high-sensing hardware including 3 LIDARs, and has integrated "5G, 2G, V2X, Ethernet EEA (Electrical Electronic Architecture)" with "fully redundant" structure, deploying the world's best intelligent driving platform for mass production.
αS HI 2024 features the third generation fast charging technology. It has a wealth of charging solutions to support multi-scenario charging and power consumption needs, including 7 kW/2 kW AC charging, 7 kW wireless charging and 20 kW DC charging pile family series products, adding V2L and V2V discharge equipment, transforming vehicles into high-power mobile energy stations; the patented DC charging boost technology enables vehicles to automatically identify and be compatible with all public fast charging piles.
αS HI 2024 can accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in under 3.5 seconds. The highly efficient battery management system enables approximately 250km of range to be added in 15 minutes of charging. With an operating range of up to 500 kilometers (NEDC) and an output of up to 640KW under 4WD mode, the powertrain also meets every expectation in the segment.
