Venturi is a carmaker founded in 1984 in France by engineers Claude Poiraud and Gérard Godfroy, originally under the name MVS (Manufacture de Voitures de Sport). In the 1990s it built sports cars such as the Atlantique 300 and 400 GT, but it went bankrupt in 2000. That same year Monaco businessman Gildo Pallanca Pastor bought the company and refocused it on electric vehicles, resulting in models such as the Fétish, Eclectic and Astrolab. Now based in Monaco, it competed in the Formula E championship and remains active.
