Spyker is a Dutch maker of hand-built sports cars, revived in 1999 by Victor Muller and Maarten de Bruijn; it draws on the original Spyker company, which built cars and aircraft from 1880 to 1926. Models such as the C8 Spyder and C8 Laviolette are known for their elaborate interiors and aviation-inspired design, echoed in a logo combining a propeller and a spoked wheel. The company has been through several bankruptcies and in recent years has effectively been dormant.
