Scout Motors is an American carmaker founded in 2022 as an independent subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. It revives the Scout name carried by International Harvester's off-road vehicles from 1961 to 1980. It is preparing the electric Traveler SUV and Terra pickup, whose concepts were shown in 2024, with production due to begin around 2027 at a plant in South Carolina. The company is still in the pre-production phase.
