Lucid (Lucid Motors, parent Lucid Group) is an American electric-vehicle maker based in Newark, California, with a factory in Casa Grande, Arizona. Founded in 2007 as Atieva, it was renamed Lucid Motors in 2016. Its majority owner is Saudi Arabia's sovereign fund PIF. Its first model was the luxury electric Air sedan (2021), noted for its very long range, followed by the Gravity electric SUV. The company is active and publicly traded on NASDAQ.
