Loremo was a German start-up from Marl, North Rhine-Westphalia, that from 2000 developed an exceptionally fuel-efficient car. The name stands for "Low Resistance Mobile," and the vehicle relied on low weight and low aerodynamic drag; the diesel LS concept claimed consumption of around 1.5 l/100 km and was entered by tilting the front of the body upward. An electric version was also planned. The car never reached series production, and the company went out of business in 2010.
