KTM is an Austrian manufacturer based in Mattighofen, founded in 1934 by Hans Trunkenpolz. It is best known for motorcycles, especially off-road machines and its MotoGP racing. It entered the car world with the X-Bow (2007) — a lightweight two-seat roadster with a carbon-fibre monocoque developed with Dallara and powered by Audi engines. In 2024–2025 the company ran into serious financial trouble and self-administration; a controlling stake was ultimately acquired by India's Bajaj Auto.
