Jaguar is a British car manufacturer founded by William Lyons; it traces its origins to 1922 (as the Swallow Sidecar Company) and first used the Jaguar name in 1935. It builds sports and luxury cars and is famed for models such as the XK120, E-Type and modern F-Type, and won Le Mans five times (between 1951 and 1957). Since 2008 it has been part of Jaguar Land Rover, owned by India's Tata Motors. In late 2024 it ended production of combustion-engined cars and is moving to an all-electric line-up.
