Hennessey (Hennessey Performance Engineering) is an American tuning company founded in 1991 by John Hennessey in Sealy, Texas. It is known for extreme power upgrades to cars from brands such as Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford and for its VelociRaptor modified pickups. Over time it has also become a maker of its own hypercars – the Lotus-based Venom GT and especially the Venom F5, with over 1,800 hp. The company is active and builds its own cars through the Hennessey Special Vehicles division.
