Artega is a German sports car manufacturer founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Klaus Dieter Frers in Delbrück. It became known for the Artega GT, a mid-engined coupé with an aluminium space-frame and carbon-fibre body, powered by a Volkswagen VR6 engine of around 220 kW. After filing for bankruptcy in 2012, the brand attempted a comeback with electric vehicles such as the Scalo Superelletra concept. It was acquired by ElectricBrands in 2022, which itself entered insolvency in 2024, leaving the marque effectively defunct.
