Škoda Auto is a Czech carmaker based in Mladá Boleslav whose roots go back to 1895, when Václav Laurin and Václav Klement founded Laurin & Klement (first bicycles, later motorcycles and, from 1905, cars). In 1925 it merged with the Škoda Works. One of the world's oldest carmakers, its current line-up includes the Octavia, Fabia, Superb, the Kodiaq SUV and the electric Enyaq. Since 1991 it has been part of the Volkswagen Group and remains active.
