Nissan is a Japanese automaker headquartered in Yokohama; Nissan Motor Co. was formally established in 1933 by Yoshisuke Aikawa and grew out of the older Datsun lineage. It builds a broad range of vehicles — from city cars to the Qashqai and X-Trail SUVs, the Skyline and GT-R sports cars, and the Leaf, one of the first mass-produced electric cars. Since 1999 it has been part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. The company is active.
