Infiniti is the luxury brand of Japanese carmaker Nissan, launched on 8 November 1989, initially in the United States as a premium division much like Toyota's Lexus. It offers sport-oriented sedans and SUVs; notable models include the flagship Q45, the G-series sedans (such as the G35), the Q50 and the QX crossovers. In recent years its range has shifted almost entirely to SUVs and the brand is moving toward electrification. Infiniti remains an active division of Nissan.
